You must know a lot of special people!
That said, people of older generations, with a wider education and a different mindset, would react differently. The prevalence of hobbies and psort participation in older generations was far greater, and meant that many of them had other things to turn to when work was no longer part of their lives.
But an increasing number of younger people have nothing beyond work, TV, social media and gaming. The lack of a liberal education has left too many incurious, unaware and uanble to think coherently or purposefully. Take work out of the equation, and most will lack the energy and inclination to do anything but devote their time to the other three.
Meanwhile, those in developing countries will find themselves replaced by robots, paid to be idle and with access to advanced tech. That will have to happen because the automated processes of the developed world will no longer be willing or able to depend upon erratic human-led systems for their raw materials. Cybernetic imperialism will emerge, in which less developed nations are forcibly 'upgraded'. People who have had nothing to do except work and sleep for generations will not know how to take advantage of what has been forced upon them, and will take the line of least resistance.
I applaud your optimism about humanity, but 65 years of dealing with people across all of society has knocked the shine off for me!
