You ignore history yourself. All those 'thriving civilisations' you talk about were also imperialist, warlike, slave-owning enterprises.

Was Shaka a benign democrat? Were the Tokugawa Shoguns elightened liberals? Ghengis Khan wasn't white and he devastated more cultures and countries than all of the Euopean powers put together. The Africans sold to European slavers were prisoners in wars of conquest waged among Africans.

An accident of climate and geology gave Europe a technological edge. Had that situation been reversed, I'd now be sitting here whingeing about the "wealthy, elite African Black men who owned slaves, etc".

There are far too many people who just don't get it. We're all the same! Predatory, power-hungry, self-important, ignorant and vicious. Europe did nothing to Africa and Asia that Africa and Asia woudn't have done to Europe and each other, given the chance!

King and Gandhi were after the same thing. Power. They accumulated it, after a fashion, but like many before them who sought power through personal example and charisma, they upset somebody and got themselves killed. Happened to that Jesus bloke as well. Their error was pacifism. Those who embrace violence will always defeat those who reject it.

Twist it around any which way you fancy, the outcome is always going to be the same.
