You continually talk about scientists as if they were promulgating Truth rather than simply formulating and suggesting theories. No real scientist is ever as dogmatic as you imply they are, except in their insistence on actual evidence for what they suggest. A bit cartoonish, wouldn't you say?

The religionists, on the other hand, do claim to promulgate Truth, but refuse to tender evidence. The word for such a person is 'charlatan'.

Free will is a pretty odd idea, anyway, since every choice or decision we make is so heavily imfluenced by our surroundings, upbringing, education, economic and social status, state of health, state of mind and assessment of the current situation that our options are severely limited by ourselves, never mind anything else!
