Yes and no. There's an anger and ferocity in metal that doesn't sit well with the way Eminem explores things. I get the impression from what I've heard that he's more about conversation. Metal is more about saying "This is shit!", or more poetically "Life is a lemon and I want my money back!" Also, metal expects everyone there to understand and share the feelings. Eminem doesn't assume anything -he wants to explain how he's feeling, and that may be something you've never experienced.
