WTF? OK, now you're making me feel ancient. My parents met when my mother was 16 and my father 20. They got engaged two years later, and got married six months after her 21st birthday. I arrived ten months later. All this was considered perfectly normal and correct at the time. My parents had one more kid, my brother, and both recently passed away in their late 80s within a week of each other -still married.

Are you actually aware that you had your first child at an age that, physically and mentally, is exactly the right age to do so? That so many of the problems parents and children face these days are due to people having kids ten years later than they should have? Simple fact is that a 30-year-old is less physically resilient, has less energy, needs more sleep and is less mentally and emotionally adaptable than a 20 year old. That's why so many 'young mothers' fall prey to exhaustion, anxiety, depression and so forth. Because they aren't 'young' mothers, but 'old' mothers.
