Which is, of course, why I maintain a respectful distance from cows, horses, deer, etc. Also pigs who, as a species, are ready at any time to take a lump out of you if you aren't paying attention and are scarily intelligent!
As to moose, it seems that one of their major predators are orcas. Apparently, moose have adaptations that allow them to graze underwater for significant amounts of time, and will quite happily wander along the seabed chomping on sea-grass, of which they are fond. Orcas are aware of this and will come into the shallows in search of a meal of moose tartare! Certainly, I can't think of any local land predator big enough to take on a moose! Bears, even those who haven't been punched on the nose by eccentric British actors, aren't dumb enough, certainly. Also, despite their reputation for viciousness, I doubt wolverines are up to the task, either!
