What makes it all so horrible/funny is that these 'men' are not supposed to be alive!
The males of almost any species are expendable, right? Young males are natural troublemakers who get kicked out of the nest/pack/herd to make their own way. They're only allowed back when they've proved their worth by surviving.
So, the tribe has a hundred male babies. Sixty of them die in infancy, another ten before they hit sexual maturity. The remaining forty get turfed out before they become too disruptive. Four or five years later, maybe ten or fifteeen come back. Adults who've mastered essential survival skills such as hunting, fighting, scavenging and above all working together and valuing other peoples' contributions and skills. Because humans can't survive alone 'in the wild' and anyone who is arrogant, entitled and not prepared to pull their weight in a group is a threat to said group.
Meanwhile the hundred female babies have been whittled down by nature to maybe twenty or thirty, and they've learned from their mothers, aunts and grandmothers what to look for in a man. Because the women are pretty much in charge (they do the thinking and planning while the men make things and use them to hit other things with), the ladies get to pick which of the young gentlemen they wish to spend time with. They may have to share them with each other, but there are workarounds for that (women are smart - and pragmatic). Such a society cannot afford incels, or any-cels -they need the babies. The men are also aware of this and will take decisive action against any of their number who abuse the women.
Unfortunaterly ,what we call 'progress' has led to there being not only too many people in the world, but also a population containing far too high a proportion of men. Without the dangerous jobs and regular wars we used to have, males don't get culled at all now, and lots of inferior specimens like me get to reproduce. Meanwhile, the even more inferior types get rejected by women and become a threat. Men who were never meant to survive into adulthood.
