What I do not, and have never, understood is why some sports are divided by gender at all! Snooker, darts, bowls, all wholly dependent on skill rather than strength., for instance. Motor-racing, in all its' forms, is another, as are shooting and archery. I note that in 'sports' such as show-jumping, there is no gender bar, but then the poor horses are doing all the work, aren't they?
