What bothers me most is that people seem to be listening to the opinions of teenagers!

You listen to children, and engage with them because it helps their brains develop.

In teenagers, the puberty hormones suppress higher mental functions and they think with their groins. This means two things.

Firstly, that the most important part of their education (GCSEs, A Levels, High School Graduation) that fixes their fate for the rest of their lives, coincides with the moment when their mental capacity is at its' lowest.

Secondly, that the only proper response to a teenager with an opinion is "Shut up!" Full stop. Actually, 'shut up' is pretty much the only response you should make to a teenager.
