Well, in the end it all boils down to the same thing. All religions are based on the same false - or at best unproven - premise: the existence of a supernatural entiity or entities who created the world and human beings and who demand that humans behave to a precise set of standards, according to rules laid out in books. Books written by humans.

But to argue from a false premise is to weaken, if not destroy, the argument ad ratione. So religionists must fall back on the less effective argument ab affectu, the attack ad hominem and ultimately good old-fashioned violence.

Or retire gracefully and shut the Hell up - something far too many religionists can't manage!

You're not alone -politicans do exactly the same thing and we get wars, shattered econimies, gross inequalities and a shedload of isms to make our lives miserable.

It's just people, isn't it?
