Um, I know duty of care is a principle of English Common Law, but does it exist in US law?

They have perhaps even been neglectful in their duty of care to a very vulnerable woman. I think I could make that case if someone asked me to.

Um, I know duty of care is a principle of English Common Law, but does it exist in US law? I say this because surely such a legal duty of care would clash badly with the Second Amendment?
