Um, have to disagree about Speed and and the Bourne films, if only because Matt Damon is clearly sawn from the same wooden log as Keanu "the plank" Reeves.

I know they're fundamentally SF, but both Predator films would come up on my list (though I tend to avoid lists).

Die Hard remains a classic as well as the best Christmas film ever. I alway think of Bruce Willis in this film when somebody starts talking about how good Jackman was as Wolverine. To me, the ragged, batttered, hurting but still going , still fighting, seemingly unkillable McLane character captures the essence of Wolverine far better than Jackmans' rugged, stoic tough guy.

On another point, I suspect your aversion to CGI will have to be tempered as the years pass, or you'll run out of films to like!
