To view the Christian Bible as a single, inerrant text is to ignore centuries of political intervention, and weaponised editing, as well as decades of scholarship by theologists, historians and archaeologists.

One might with more justitifcation believe in the works of Tolkien - they at least derive from a single, identifiable source!
