This is wonderfully ironic, given the perception that young Pakistani lads view all White girls as sluts and whores. Many people would assume that if you had been girls of 'their own colour' wearing hijabs, you would have been either left alone or treated respectfully.

This, if true, makes your friends' jibe doubly insulting. Though, to my mind, it merely served to suggest to these lads that the two if you might possibly have had friends among the local Skinheads, and thus reminded them of their own vulnerability.

In my time as an FE teacher, for what it's worth, the worst cases of misogyny I found were among young, white, working class lads. Specifically, the ones who had fallen through the cracks, left school with few or no GCSEs, and had been sent by the then DHSS to do low-level BTEC courses in order to keep their Income Support. These lads, most still living at home and none with any spare cash for going out, were not prime boyfriend material, and their incel status led them to a very poor attitude to girls and women. Something about which I was forced to take them to task occasionally - they didn't much like that. For some reason, getting a ticking off from me was considered particularly unpleasant.
