These people don't undeerstand the nature of atheists or atheism. One of the smarter things Dawkins has said is that organising atheists is like herding cats -the true atheist tends to be an independent thinker and by no means a 'joiner' or proselytiser. The problem arises when people who don't really understand rationality or science make up a movement opposed to theistic religion while failing to realise that they have simply adopted science and reason as 'gods'. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
