There is no dialogue between science and religion, never can be.
Science is theory based upon the current state of knowledge. It changes as we accumulate more knowledge and formulate or amend theories based upon that knowledge.
Engineering is the practical application of accuulated knowledge.
Religion is the imaginary construct used to fill gaps in knowledge and to provide agency for humans. From the sympathetic magic of vegetation and solar cults to the mental and physical disciplines of modern religions it provides the delusive comfort of being able to forge a relationship with the Universe and avoid facing the reality of our own inevitable personal extinction.
If the existence of God is ever proved, then God becomes part of science, the transcendent becomes mundane, and people will have to invent new constructs to centralise the Universe around themselves.
