There are rumours that the King has designs on shedding a few of the assorted palaces and mansions as well. or at least repurposing some of them. Especially the Crown properties. We might see an end to their 'grace and favour' occupation by minor Royals as the King slims 'The Firm' down to himself, the Queen Consort, the Wales', the Wessexs' and the Princess Royal. We may see Kensington and St James' Palaces leased to the National Trust or Government, perhaps.
