The trouble is that 'white' is not the correct term. What we are talking about is 'European'. European culture, history, climate and geology combined to bring about technological advancement, exploration, capitalism, colonialism and slavery. The last three of these gave rise to skin-based racism as it is currently understood in Europe and North America. Prior to that, racism was based on which country had given your country a hard time, and for how long. Which is why, after two major wars, many English people still hate the French far more than they do the Germans!
