The specific combination of climate and geology that made European people develop advanced technology more quckly than others is also responsible for their skin tone. Coincidence, nothing more.

Imperialism, colonialism, genocide, chattel slavery are all practices that date from ancient times and have been practiced by peoples of all skin colours. All of them continue to happen in the present day and are still practiced by people of every skin tone. But their more advanced tech -ocean-going ships, steel swords, firearms - made Europeans better at it than others for a long time. The hierarchy that was established then has become a habit of mind - one shared, yet again, by people of all colours. Some admire it, some hate it, some ignore it. That's just people.

Focus on injustice, unfairness, injury, cruelty, aggression, viciousness - no matter who is doing it - and disregard the labels, or the situation will only be further exacerbated.
