SWMBO and I always used to have rows on Valentines, so we stopped doing it. We do get some sweets in for Trick or Treat on Hallowe'en, and we do Bonfire Night unless the girls are with their father. SWMBO doesn't like Mothers' Day because she says a bunch of half-dead daffodils one Sunday doesn't make up for being neglected the rest of the year. As to Fathers' Day, my daughter always gets me something jokey, and my son just sends a text saying "Happy Capitalist Running Dog Day"!
