ST:TOS was what? Progressive? Liberal? How? When? When the Black switchboard operator and only female bridge officer ranked lower than anyone except the Russian Ensign? When the supposedly Japanese Sulu was running around with a rapier rather than a katana? When Captain Snog was a serial sexual predator? When James T "We come in peace! Shoot to kill!" Kirk solved all issues with a fistfight or a hail of phaser fire? When, in complete disregard of the Prime Directive, Kirk and his crew deliberately destabilised at least a dozen cultures because they didn't agree with how they worked? When Kirk marooned Khan and his people on the nearest Class M planet without even checking for dangerous life-forms?

Puh-lease! It's a good job they didn't do crossovers back then! I don't even want to think about what The Doctors' opinion of Kirk would have been - she/he'd have told the Daleks exactly where the Enterprise was, I imagine! "Do me a favour and exterminate that lot! They're worse than you are!". Even Commander Shepard would consider Kirk a thug and a bully!

Now if the Enterprise had been under the command of someone called, for instance, Lethbridge-Stewart....
