So I wrote a short story once -kind of a Sword and Sorcery thing - and stuck it up on a website. Thing was, the city I set it in was in a temperate zone -so most of the inhabitants were white -but located South of my fantasy worlds' equator. So one of the key characters was a warrior from the North who was Black.

I got so much stick I had to take the story down. Apparently I couldn;t have a Black woman warrior unless she came from the South. Warriors from the North are blond barbarian men, end of.
