So, 'Change the curriculum'. Yes and no. Because the ability to recall facts is important, as is the abilityu to concedntrate long enoughg to learn them. Too many of the kids and young adults I meet these days have the memory and attention-span of an amnesiac mayfly!

The UBI would be a big help. You're right in that a lot of -isms are either reactions to, or deliberately-engineered distractions from, basic economic inequalities.

That said, we still face an uphill struggle, because the bulk of the human race remains as dim as a Toc-H lamp!
