OoooH! Don't get me started! Different to instead of different from I've had to learn to ignore!
But when TV newsreaders etc constantly use incorrect plurals -stadiums and referendums instead of stadia and referenda - it makes me want to scream! Forgetting that collective nouns take singular verbs, splitting infinitives, improper or no use of the subjunctive..the list goes on.
That said, there are some things you have to live with. In Yorkshire, where I grew up, many people still use the correct second person singular (thee or thou). In the Midlands, where I now live, some people use 'you' as second person singular, and 'youse' as second person plural. Also, what I was brought up to call a 'beck', they call a 'brook' here (I think Americans call it a 'creek').
