One, you are taking this, and yourself, far too seriously - one of the clearest signs of a weak intellect.

Two, you have clearly not read what I have written. You cite a valid occasion in support of what I said in the case of Duncan McLaren. To this I add the case of Heinrich Schliemann and his discovery of the ruins of Troy through reading Homer. Valuable discoveries have been made by paying attention to myth and legend.

Three, what I actually said was that fossils have been found of Human species who may, in life, have resembled beings currently regarded as mythological or folkloric. I simply entered a suggestion that those myths, like numerous others, may have had a basis in reality. I only suggested that because the fossils we have seem to fit the folklore surprisingly well, and because the idea is rather less silly than the other popular one which states that all supernatural beings are actually aliens.

Why you deemed it necessary as you did to jump in with both feet and no manners I have no idea. You're entitled to disagree, you're not entitled to be rude about it.
