OK, so I'm no Bond fan. The films have their place - mostly on Chritmas Day, afer the Monarchs' Speech, when you're too full of turkey, white Zinfandel, Xmas pud and port to handle anything demanding.

Killing off Bond? Not before time. The character is obsolete. Already out-spied by Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt, the final stroke was the arrival of superheroes. People who can wreck a villlains' base without calling in hordes of anonymous troops. Were I a super-villain, I'd sooner hear "Bond, James Bond." a hundred times than hear one "It's clobberin' time!" or "Hulk smash!". He even loses out in wisecracking to Deadpool!

Bonds' time has come and gone, and the worst part of this news is his possible return. It can only spoil precious memories for the fans.
