OK, so can you identify the following. A flying beetle, perhaps a centimetre long and roughly triangular from head to tail. Quite heavy. Golden brown in colour.

Only a few years ago I was having a rink by a river in Gloucester and one of these crash-dived into my pint! I fished it out and it flew off -rather unsteadily!
