Oh, I don't misunderstand it. I just think it's daft! Consider yon half-brick. Mr Idealist reckons it's nothing but part of his conscious state. So I -who am also only part of his conscious state - pick up said half-brick and clock him over the head with it, thus producing an unconscious state. A state in which I, the brick, and Mr Idealist hmself cease to exist, at least temporarily.
