Of course you're odd! If you weren't, I wouldn't read your stuff!
But being served what you ordered, in the way you ordered it, is a perfectly reasonable expectation! I can't count the number of times I've asked for rare steak and got medium (if it doesn't get up and fight you for the salad, it's overcooked)!
But I'm a terrible person! I'm 66. I've smoked for the last 50 years and currently have no intention of stopping. I drink alcohol, though less than I used to. I eat meat and buy my food from supermarkets. I don't normally buy coffee out, though, as it's generally overpriced and not very nice. I wait unitl I get home and can make my own. But all I have to complain about is an arthritic knee, which only bothers me in the winter (I take cod-liver oil every day). Otherwise my physical health is pretty robust, even if I am a little short for my weight.
It's possible that I'm a mutant, of course. When I was at Uni (mature student) the comic-book geeks used to call me Wolverine, but I always thought that was because I was short, grouchy and a bit scary!
