Not so much nowadays. Primary School uniform is a invariably a white polo shirt, a sweatshirt or cardigan in school colour, and black or grey trousers or skirt -there is no requirement for girls to wear skirts and most of them wear trousers, especially in winter.
In Senior School, the trend is for old-fashioned uniforms with button-down shirt and tie for both genders and a black blazer. But again, the question of skirt or trousers is left to the girls' discretion.
The main problem I find is that of white boys being required to shave while their Sikh and Muslim classmates are not.
