Ten/Fourteen was clearly completely shocked at what happened, so it may not be deliberate on their part.

This was clearly done in agreement with Davies. Which means that there's something Ten left undone during his first go-round. My guess is that it has something to do with Donna and possibly the clone/daughter they think is dead but is actually galloping about out there somewhere. It may very well be that something important is locked away in Donnas' head.

I got my squees as well, mind you. My two favourite Doctors! Number One, the clever, snarky curmudgeon who has been my lifelong role model, and Jo Martins' Fugitive Doctor (and I do hope this isn't the last we see of her!). Not to mention good old Ian in the support group!

But I do miss the Brigadier!
