My main quibble with Intelligent Design is that the Designer was clearly not terribly Intelligent! An intelligent designer would have used six limbs rather than four, allowing two to become 'arms' whilst keeping the advantages of being a quadruped (stability, easier birth, etc). More importsntly, and inteeligent designer would have placed the brains safley within the thorax, protected by ribs and muscles, and closer to the vital supply of oxygenated blood - not stuck it out on the end of a vulnerable stalk!

Also, I know of any number of people who seem to be directly descended from cabbages (or possibly other vegetables). They tend to watch Strictly Come Dancing a lot and obsess about Association Football!
