Most of these men held opinions about women (and other things) that were typical of their times and cultures.
Also, in absolute fairness, I'd say that only Einstein and perhaps Aristotle could be called geniuses. Also, as is typical with geniuses, neither of them was particularly connected with the world outside their own head! Stephen Hawkings was the same; a brilliant physicist whose mind would not stop working even when his body failed him, but as a man, not very nice.
You can tell from his portrait that Martin Luther was one of those men who never smiled in his entire life!
As to Confucius, he reminds me of the fictional character Captain Mainwaring from the TV series 'Dads' Army'. A self-important , pompous snob who looks down on those below him and resents those above him. (Except that Confucius apparently lacks Mainwarings' courage, loyalty to and concern for his men).
Also, we must recall that Guatama Buddha was born into privilege. It's easy for those who don't have to work for a living to pretend a disregard for material things!
