More interesting to me is what this says about the film industry in general. In the not-so-very-long-ago, the role of T'Challa would have been ruthlessly recast and the sequel very different. By the same token, when Robert Downey Jr decided he wasn't going to play Tony Stark again, the same would have happened. The fact that the movers, shakers and money-men of the MCU have decided to respect Mr Downeys' decision and to honour the tragic loss of Mr Boseman in this fashion is a new departure, and is what made Wakanda Forever, and the conversations the film has aroused, possible.
It's also different from the DC Universe, in which film producers apparently run into the street, grab the nearest actor and say "Two of everything you should have? OK, you're Batman!"
