Meanwhile, there has been at least one school shooting a month since Columbine in 1999 and nobody is doing a damned thing about it. Why aren't millions of angry, frightened parents marching on the Capitol as we speak?

Look, Trump will either be acquitted or cop a plea. He'll get a slap on the wrist and use the whole charade as a campaign issue. As a result, any other brewing indictments will be quietly dropped. This isn't about a former President facing trial, it's about one of Americas' wealthy being held to account for their actions - that's the precedent which must at all costs be prevented from being set.

The foundation of American society has always been the Golden Rule - whoever has the gold makes the rules. If that is overturned, then US society will undergo a fundamental, and perhaps terminal alteration!
