King Arthur, along with Heracles, Rustem, Cu Chulain, Roland, Sun Wukong and El Cid, was one of the first superheroes. A mortal man, not a god, but gifted with extraordinary powers and abilities which he tried to use for the good of all. His Knights of the Round Table are predecessors in spirit of the Justice League and the Avengers.
