I've sadi it before and I'll probably say it again, but the amount of stuff we know about stands to the amount we don't know about as a pint glass stands to the Universe. That's always going to be the case because of the limits of our senses, technology, intelligence and imagination.

It is right and proper to approach unusual phenomena with unbiased observation. It is also right that we should judiciously apply Occams' Razor when seeking explanations. But it is also proper, and in no way shameful, to conclude, upon occasion, that there are phenomena we cannot explain, and to accept that perhaps we never will be able to understand or explain. Finally, we should treat as suspect the variety of explanations offered for certain phenomena as long as they remain inconsistent with each other. Too many religions and cosmologies -all designed to explain the same things - are too radically different from each other for any to be deemed reliable.
