I've never been curated, and to be honest, it's not that important to me. I joined Medium because I enjoy reading the stuff I find on here, and because joining gave me the right to comment/respond. responding is something I do, and some people are kind enough to clap my replies, or even respond to them. I joined the Partner Programme to shut the system up - it kept prompting me - and I have written a couple of things that nobody has read LOL.

Never mind. People read my Fanfiction (usually when I write in more popular franchises), and I get upvotes for answers on Quora. I'll live.

I keep seeing articles about how to make money on Medium, but to be fair, I'm no professional writer (as you can probably tell), and I'm not a terribly clever person. I certainly don't want to descend to the depths of A Mere Hack and his Daily Dose of Doom and Gloom (you know who I mean, right?). But Ido enjoy the ability to occasionally be sarcastic in public!

Am I on here for the wrong reasons, do you think?
