It occurs to me that a lot of the people who call themselves 'White Allies' are what I would call 'middle-class wankers'. That is to say 'nice', tertiary-educated, comfortably-off people who can afford to virtue-signal without risking anything. They join committees and fund-raise for 'respectable' groups, but if things get tense or confrontational - as they have to, sometimes - they squeal and bolt.

The White working class suffer from the 'School Bully Syndrome' - as long as the big guys are whaling on another kid, they're safe. They won't help, because they're scared that all equality will mean is that the cops get the right to kill them out of hand as well!

I want - no, demand - justice for everyone, regardless of who or what they are. I've been standing up for that for 40 years or more, I'm not about to stop, and I'll have no truck with labels, thank you so very much! So don't call me an ally, but you can call me "that bolshie old git" if you want!
