It may be worth noting that the nuclear reactors that everyone panics about are the fast-breeder type. Now anyone with a shred of sense knows that these were never intended to prpduce electricity; they did that as a by-product of their real purpose, which was to produce weapons-grade plutonium. They sold them to the public as a source of cheap electricity, but that was bs from day one.

There are, however, and always have been, a number of reactor types that generate electricity far more efficiently, and produce smaller amounts of less toxic waste.
