Interesting sidenote, the final Canto of the Finnish epic Kalevala, tells of a young virgin named Marjatta who, by eating a berry, becomes pregnant. She is thrown out of her parents' house and give birth in the forest. The old cuture hero Vainamoinen advises that the child be killed, but the baby speaks and accuses the old wizard of poor judgement. The child is declared King of Karelia (Finland) and Vainamoinen sets sail, leaving only his songs and harp behind, but promses to return when there's no moon or sun and happiness isn't free any more.
Most scholars agree thathis Canto speaks to the Christianisation of Finland. I reckon old Vainamoinen is a bit overdue! But then so is King Arthur imho!
