I'm not at all sure that Mr Haque is that much of a writer. I am cursed with a fly-paper for a mind, and in reading his articles I frequently run across entire paragraphs which are word for word the same as they were in the previous three articles. In fact, his screeds retread the same path time after time.
I only know of America what I read in the news, on here and by correspondence with fellow fanfiction writers. Mr Haque claims an intimate knowledge of the situation there, but I have my doubts about this. He frequently describes Europe and the EU - which for all practical purposes means France and Germany - as 'gentle and wise' and as the UK's closest friends and allies. Now five minutes spent studying the history of Europe will give the lie to the 'gentle and wise' nonsense on the spot. Even a cursory overview of British history will show that both of those nations have been, in turn, our bitterest enemies. Leopards do not change their spots, and Germany and France continue to vie for domination of Europe, and continue to try to drag us into their quarrel. Hence Brexit, because we've had enough of that lark!
So if Mr Haques' understanding of US society and politics is as accurate as his comprehension of Europe and the UK. I take leave to doubt a lot of his conclusions!
