"If unsure of gender, default to male" seems to be integral to a lot of peoples' mindset. The assumption beijng, I suppose, that it is less offensive to mistake a woman for a man than it is the other way round. Patriarchy at it again.

Still, part of the appeal of games like Sky is that they allow you to be yourself in ways that RL often makes difficult. That said, I wouldn't play it because it holds no appeal for me.
