If the Universe is sentiuent, it is because of the sentient beings within it who are that sentience . If the Universe is intelligent, it is because of the intelligent beings within it who are that intelligence.

If the Universe is to have meaning, then we must provide it, by our own actions and choices. The same with purpose.

We are not intelligent beings in the Universe, we are the intelligence of the Universe. Part of it, not distinct from it. Humanity and any other intelligent life-forms out there.

Your superannuated, old-fashioned, anthropocentric, geocentric godling isn't up to the task anymore. The Universe has outgrown it.
