I will say this. After 40-odd years of foing my best to get a fair deal for everyone, I can only carry away one bit of knowledge.

You can change peoples' behaviour, if you're stubborn enough, combative enough, and kick them hard enough. You can change the rules the same way. However, you can't always change folks' opinions -some are stubborn, others merely stupid. You can work on the stubborn ones, but there's no cure for stupidity.

We can, if enough of us work together, dismantle the inbuilt racism of systems. Antiracist white men would be able to speed that up considerably. Getting through to individuals is going to be the hard part, and I don't think we'll ever completely succeed.
