I think we might define 'Christmas adjacent' is another way. As films which, though not in themselves concerned with, or even set at, Christmas are nonethelsss irrevocably linked with the season in ones' mind.
The African Queen. My late father in law was wont to remark that "It's not Christmas unless you've sweated down the river with Bogey!"
Any James Bond film starring Connery or Moore. I think it was ITV who had the custom of going straight into a James Bond film after the Queens' Speech for many years. Auntie Beeb tended to offer something Disney or The Railway Children.
El Cid. I've no idea why, but this particular 'Bank Holiday Epic' is firmly associated wth Christmas in my mind.
