I imagine Ug still had to give Grunt, Belch and Snore a good kick up the arse to get any work out of them!

Nothing, no animal or plant, anyway, in nature does any more than absolutely has to.

Grunt, Belch ad Snore were no doubt content ro forage for a few nuts and roots when they became too hungry to bear it. Or more likely, two of them did and the third stole as much from them as he could!

But Ug had bigger ideas. He wanted the whole troop to be safe and well-fed all the time! Fortunately for us, Ug and the few others like him were prepared to crack a few heads to get some sense into the others!

Nothing has really changed since then without the application of the feet of the few to the backsides of the many.
