I refuse to be ashamed of being white because I didn't choose to be so. I refuse to treat anyone differently or unfairly because of their skin colour because I chose that way of life. I refuse to allow others to treat people badly, for any reason, because I'm a feisty, arrogant git who reckons he knows better than that racist/sexist/homopobic lackwit.

I've no patience with the performative, with those theatrically terrified of 'offending' someone. I've certainly none with those who choose to blame racism, or any other 'ism' for the effects of the only 'ism' we need to be fighting - capitalism.
