If my reminder was less polite and deferential that you think you deserve, kindly bear in mind that in the first place I'm probably old enough to be your father, so if respect is due it should come from you to me, not the other way about (until you've earned it). Secondly, it is your generation that has set the 'standard' of sweeping good manners and respect to one side.
