I never had this with my two, I must admit. I once said to my son "You're not very rebellious." He replied "Who'd want to rebel against kick-ass parents like you and mum!" I did get criticism from other parents for 'letting' my kids be Goths, but their kids were Townies or Chavs, so their opinions were of little weight.

Now the Gruesome Twosome, (or Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm, Pinky and the Brain and a dozen other nicknames) are making their own way in the world, taking no prisoners and being themselves as hard as they can.

Clearly, I must have got something wrong! I'm obviously a terrible parent for being unable to produce properly whiny, self-obsessed snowflakes. Just a pair of sarcastic, non-Woke, straight-talking smart-arsed grouches who give as good as they get and bow to nobody. Don't know where they get it from!
